DLR strike sees commuters turn to wacky, unorthodox methods of transport

A 48-hour strike by workers on London’s Docklands Light Rail (DLR) - which will close the entire line – will sweep the city from Tuesday as union leaders say talks have fallen apart.

So, to deliver a little pick-me-up for commuters, Confused.com sent a ‘bounce mob’ of hundreds of people on inflatable space hoppers to the capital, where they bounced across London – from as far as Camden Lock to Tower Bridge – brightening up the days of other commuters, passers-by and tourists.

Laura Buchan, Head of PR at Confused.com, says:

“We wanted to do something to brighten up people’s day so we sent out hundreds of blue space hoppers and before we knew it, a ‘bounce mob’ had descended on the capital. It was brilliant to see so many people come down to #JumpOnIt by bouncing on the space hoppers we had. We hope we made the commute just that bit brighter for all who got involved.”

The eye-catching spectacle was all captured on film – watch the video, grab a space hopper and #JumpOnIt!
