School holidays bring joy to commuters - 10.9M cars off road
With 10.9M cars off of Britain's roads due to the school holidays, less traffic means less road rage.
Amanda Stretton, motoring editor at Confused.com, says:
"More than two fifths of drivers (42%) will experience a faster commute now schools have broken up for the summer – shorter by four minutes on average. And many (39%) say they are a calmer driver as a result.
“It might not seem a lot, but quieter roads means a less stressful commute, something that will be welcomed by one in seven (15%) who arrive at work annoyed due to bad traffic. It is no surprise one in five (22%) wish there were more school holidays as journeys would be a lot quicker and easier throughout the year.”
