ASDA CUT PETROL PRICES BY 2P PER LITRE
News today reveals that Asda have cut petrol prices after a fall in wholesale costs. Amanda Stretton, motoring editor at Confused.com says:
“After months of increasing prices, drivers will be relieved to hear that petrol prices have been cut by up to 2p per litre at Asda. According to our fuel price index, the average medium-sized car (57L) now costs £74.24 to fill up.
“It’s clear petrol and diesel prices are unpredictable and could well increase again, especially if Chancellor Phillip Hammond announces a lift on the fuel duty freeze in the autumn budget on 29th October.
“Either way, motorists should concentrate on making their cars more fuel efficient by driving at lower speeds, accelerating gradually and avoiding over-revving. They will also need to be savvy and shop around for the cheapest petrol prices in their area using our fuel price comparison service.”
