RESPONSE TO SAUDI WOMEN GRANTED RIGHT TO DRIVE
Responding to King Salman's order allowing women in Saudi Arabia to drive, Amanda Stretton former racing driver and motoring editor at Confused.com comments:
"As a woman who races cars, it's a real driver win to see women being given the opportunity to get behind the wheel.
"Despite the EU gender directive, in the UK, women pay on average £120 less for their car insurance, so it will be interesting to see how this market will develop in Saudi Arabia.
"Evidence and insurance prices in the UK suggest women are safer drivers so we're looking forward to women showing men a thing or two on the road."
