SEVERN BRIDGE TOLLS HAVE OFFICIALLY BEEN SCRAPPED TODAY
After 52 years, the Severn tolls have officially been abolished from today. Amanda Stretton, motoring editor at Confused.com says:
“The Severn Crossings have been money-making machines for many years, so a clear road through to Wales will be welcome news for drivers.
“Our research suggests drivers who commute over the bridges every day will save £1,456 each year, which will definitely help to reduce their motoring costs. The toll cut is a small, but welcome, respite for drivers at a time when car insurance prices are high and fuel prices are more expensive than ever.”
