Severn Crossing tolls could be scrapped sooner than first thought
News today has revealed that the Severn Crossing tools could be scrapped sooner than originally thought. Amanda Stretton, motoring editor at Confused.com says:
“The Severn Crossings have been money-making machines for many years, so finding out that a clear road through to Wales will happen sooner than planned will be welcome news for drivers.
“Our research suggests drivers who commute over the bridges every day will save £1,456 each year, which will definitely help to reduce their motoring costs. The toll cut will be a small, but welcome, respite for drivers at a time when car insurance prices are high and fuel prices are more expensive than ever.”
